Minh Duong was showing off his 3-wheeled street-legal electric car named Xe Điện (‘electric car’ in Vietnamese) among the Priuses, Honda Insights, even a Tesla Roadster at San Diego’s Street Smart 2009. We spent a few minutes chatting about his creation of the electric car, his passion to start such a personal project and what he hopes to achieve in the future.


Honda Insight Hybrid Cars Sighted in San Diego

I saw the first Honda Insight hybrid cars on the road today. Okay so no one was driving them on the road. These brand new Honda Insight hybrid cars were actually transported on the auto transport trailer going north on Interstate 15 just north of Mira Mesa Boulevard exit.

The Insight, set to go on sale March 24, 2009, is designed to combine functionality with style. Honda is not known for producing stylish cars, but the new Honda Insight looks pretty sharp. In any case, nothing beats Honda’s bucket seats in its price range, IMHO.
