I saw the first Honda Insight hybrid cars on the road today. Okay so no one was driving them on the road. These brand new Honda Insight hybrid cars were actually transported on the auto transport trailer going north on Interstate 15 just north of Mira Mesa Boulevard exit.

Hybrid drivers find themselves becoming very patient, tolerant, and very cool and calm creatures when facing most driving conditions. There are no more sudden movements, no competing with traffic, no more racing down the left lane. At least in city driving.

CNN test drives the Mini E electric car, but many viewers may get the wrong message from it. Personally I think it’s accurate in showing public confusion and lack of knowledge about electric and hybrid cars.

The Insight, set to go on sale March 24, 2009, is designed to combine functionality with style. Honda is not known for producing stylish cars, but the new Honda Insight looks pretty sharp. In any case, nothing beats Honda’s bucket seats in its price range, IMHO.

Car dealers are getting creative in hope to move products out of showrooms and into car buyer’s hands. How about buying a truck and get a smaller car for a dollar?
