Fuso Sold First Canter Eco Hybrid Trucks Outside of Japan

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has sold ten hybrid trucks to an Irish company. The Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid is the first production hybrid truck to be sold in Europe. With another order of 10 Fuso Canter Eco Hybrids from Australia, they become the first Fuso hybrid trucks to customers outside of Japan.

REVA NXR and REVA NXG All-Electric Cars Available For Europe Reservation

The REVA NXR, a new lithium-ion powered electric car from REVA Electric Car Company (REVA), is scheduled to go into production early 2010. Also unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show was REVA’s showcar, the REVA NXG (NeXt Generation), the company’s 2011 model. Customers can register their interest in either vehicle on the online priority list by paying a refundable 500 euro (US$ 727) fee today.



General Motors India and REVA Form Partnership to Transform Electric Car Market

General Motors India and Reva Electric Car Company (REVA) have entered into a collaboration agreement to develop electric vehicles for the Indian market. This partnership will bring together two companies to develop car platforms, electric vehicle technology and advanced control systems. Through this partnership, REVA will also leverage GM’s large distribution network in India to market and sell REVA’s next generation vehicles.

BlueTec SCR Technology Tests Totaling 25 Million Miles

Detroit Diesel has subjected BlueTec SCR technology in trucks to tests totaling 25 million miles. By the time SCR (selective catalytic reduction) technology is introduced in January 2010, the test vehicles will have been tested for a total of 28 million miles. This will make SCR technology one of the most thoroughly tested exhaust technologies in the United States as well.
